Charles, You need to right-click on the desktop shortcut for PSE 2021. Once you right-click on it, a drop-down menu will pop up. Just click on "Run as administrator". NOTE: You will be asked to enter your administrator username and password. Then, PSE 2021 will open. Sepiana, When you say: Are you saying to right click on my WINDOWS Desktop, or are you saying to have PSE2021 open and right click on that?? My first showing to you This above is from my Windows Desktop If I open PSE2021 and right click within that then I get nothing.

Charles, Please try this 1. Open photoshop elements 2. Go to Edit, Preferences, General 3. Make sure these two boxes are checked 4. Click OK 5. Close photoshop elements 6. Open photoshop elements 7. Go to View and click on rulers 8. Open at least two or more images 9. Does the file name show on the top of the floating tab? Frank, I had to click on Allow Floating Documents I closed/opened Elements Yes it works!!! Thank you Frank!! It is different from before, but as I had a "tab" simply for the filename but this is good also!! Thank you Thank you Frank!

If I open PSE2021 and right click within that then I get nothing. Charles, fotofrank already solved the problem of the missing file names. But I will answer your questions. This trick/workaround may come handy in the future. I’m talking about the shortcut (blue PSE icon) that was automatically created on your desktop when you installed PSE 2021. Left-click on this shortcut: PSE 2021 will open. Right-click on this shortcut: You are given the option to run PSE 2021 as administrator. Click on "Run as administrator" and PSE 2021 will open.

I do appreciate you trying to help me understand this, but somehow it does not make sense in my brain. Left click on the PSE 2021 icon to open and start Elements. Now with Elements running in the back ground right click and click on Run as Administrator to continue running Elements yet again or maybe still since Elements had already been running? I was able to do this but how is this different?

I do appreciate you trying to help me understand this, but somehow it does not make sense in my brain. Sorry I confused you. What I was trying to convey is . . .
If you left-click on the PSE 2021 shortcut icon, PSE 2021 will open without the "Run as administrator" option.
If you right-click on the PSE 2021 shortcut icon, you will be given the option to run PSE 2021 as administrator.
In short, if you want to run PSE 2021 as administrator . . . 1. Right-click on the PSE 2021 shortcut icon and select "Run as administrator" from the drop-down menu. 2. Open a couple of files in the Editor. 3. Check to see if the file names are visible. 4. If everything is working fine, close PSE 2021. 5. Open PSE 2021 again but this time do it from your standard user account (the way you usually do).
