This is a single shot of the Oldman River bottom in the mist. I wish it would snow to cover up the ice On the trails.

A nice example showing the difference the stitched pano makes....I know they're not the same scene but big difference in overall depth perception.

But surely, Clive, if snow was sitting on top of ice, then it would be more treacherous to walk on. Or is there a different meaning to what you say? Beautiful picture, it reminds me of where my roots lay. Desolate in the winter.

hmca I agree. The overall perspective seems better with the multi shots tan single shots and no edge distortions. It seems that way. But surely, Clive, if snow was sitting on top of ice, then it would be more treacherous to walk on. There was considerable snow and that mainly melted and a lot of ice formed in shady areas and in low spots on the trails because it has been freezing most nights. It is treacherous and I wear good ice cleats on my boots and walk with a hiking pole. A significant new snow would cover the ice. Walking on packed snow is much easier than on ice. There is no snow in the forecast but I am going to fix that. HA! I am going on a long road trip on Wednesday and surely that will summons the snow gods.
