It's a while since I tackled a double exposure and coming across a video tut on a Triple exposure I thought I would give it a go.

Very cool image, Lillias. Can you explain the difference between a double- and a triple-exposure? I'm not sure how that works.

Can you explain the difference between a double- and a triple-exposure? Instead of using only two images for the double exposure you use three images and that gives you the triple exposure...LOL. So for this one I had the image of the woman, an image of the tree and an image of the birds. Does that make sense!

You really made this come together nicely, Lillias. The hint of blue in the toning seems to fit her somewhat sorrowful expression.

So not sure if this would be considered a triple exposure or more of a composite? I did combine three images and combined using blend modes.... All images from StockSolo.

So not sure if this would be considered a triple exposure or more of a composite? Well I am not an aficionado on this sort of thing but it looks good to me. If you look at this subject in Google Images it would appear that there is a variety of ways to portray a triple exposure and yours fits right in with some that I have seen. Well done. I'm so pleased you tried it.

Maybe, Lillias....but I like them better when their shape defines the image with negative space around it like your head. I did have just the boy and the library with nautical brushes coming out from the circle but couldn't get that to look right either. May try again.....sometime.

For anyone who would like to give this a try see below for a link to the tutorial I used to create mine, and Marty of Blue Lightning TV kindly provides a link to the three images he used in the tutorial. Triple Exposure PortraitFor those who prefer a written tutorial I have discovered that in You Tube if you click on the three little dots to the right side of the screen as indicated in the screen shot below you will get a drop down menu and one of the choices on that menu is 'show transcript.' Click that and where the chat is normally shown you will now see a full transcript of the tutorial with times associated to the different parts of the tutorial. I don't think very old tutorials have this facility but it's always worth trying to see if it's available for the tut you want.

Thanks, Lillias. Maybe watching the video will help me get a better handle on the kinds of images that work well together for this technique. I will add it to my things to try.
