Thanks to everyone for the glorious bridge images. The theme this month has a double inspiration; it was in Helen’s latest list of suggested themes and it leapt out at me as I am shortly to set off on a tour including Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans, to fulfil a long held desire to see the home of some of the music that I love. So the theme is ‘Making Music’ which can include musical instruments (new or old) or anything else or anyone that is creating a tuneful sound. I look forward to seeing your creations. Please don’t be offended if I don’t comment much or contribute myself until the end of the month while I am away, but I hope to return home with a camera full of musical images to share. Have fun and enjoy.

Thanks for the theme Alex. Have a great time chasing the music. I'm a blues fan myself and your trip sounds like a dream.

Well that’s a very special heirloom, Jim. Thanks Helen, I believe my nan brought it with her just prior to start off WW2 so it's good many years old

Thanks Alex! Fun challenge for someone who can't tune a radio. But I admire musicians and take photos when appropriate. These were opened in ACR and levels and contrast tweaked after desaturating. Then in PSE, I used a B&W gradient map adjustment layer to tweak some more. Guitarist in Los Algodones, Mexico in 2014 The Harpist, Santa Cruz, Chile, 2009

What wonderful contributions you have made already. From Jim's that pulls on the heart strings, to Clive's that pulls on the harp strings (sorry I couldn't resist...). Frank, so creative and brilliantly executed and Pete, such a beautifully clean image that has such clarity in mono. Thank you all. I am excited for what more will come.
