I have the files that someone sent to me. I tried to attach them here, but wasn't successful. If you can't get the files from the internet, I will try to get them to you.
I haven't used Fast Picture Viewer, so don't know how it compares. Let me know how I can help you.
Thanks Sepiana.

That's what I was thinking, without trying to get too technical!

Sepiana, I tried downloading the Microsoft Codex from your links, but it will not download to Windows10. Interestingly enough, I did find a Windows Codex in my apps, but it doesn't seem to work. ...so back to FastPicture, which I did have, but can't find the serial number for, so I've contacted their website for help. I suppose I could buy another FP Codex pac, but it's the principle of the thing..........and the Cdn dollar is so friggin low against the US$ these days........

srmoment -
Download the free Belarc Advisor, and it will give you the serial number for any program on your computer.

Major Major, I downloaded the Belarc Advisor for Windows10 and WOW, it showed up a ton of stuff!!! However, not the program I was looking for, or interestingly enough, some other things such as my Perfect Effects. I might just have to bite the bullet and purchase the codex again; ....I will wait to see if I hear back from them first.

The same ones you linked up in your post. Thanks for helping with those.

Did you by any chance save the email they sent you when you purchased FastPictureViewer? The one with the download link? It should list your order number; this number functions as the serial number for this Codec.

Sepiana, one thing I've learned is to make a copy of that email and save it to the same file where the software exe file resides. I learned the hard way that paper files can get lost.

I use Evernote to store all that info. OneNote would work well also.

I have my original email from Paypal and there was a reference number on it, so I decided to try downloading the Codex and using that number. The software downloaded just fine and I was not asked for a serial number which was totally weird. Now everything is working again.
However, I now have a new Windows10 problem related to the keyboard. I have a gaming computer (haha...not that I'm a gamer) and I had deactivated the scrolling pad (or whatever it's called) because my cursor kept skipping all over the place when I typed. Now my scrolling pad has reactivated itself so I have to walk back through the sands of time to find out which particular sand deactivates it! [sigh]. ....and in photoshop I have to use the cursor to scroll through modes (i.e. Multiply, Screen, Luminosity....) whereas before I could use my mouse.
Aside from all that, I am really liking the look and feel of the new Windows.

Well, my upgrade finally came up and I bit the bullet. Everything with the upgrade went smoothly. The only Issue I have was I received a low memory warning, once while updating Creative clod, "ooops, cloud," the screen went black. And two when trying to view a video on youtube. I have 12g of ram and 2 gig video ram.
I didn't think I'd like the new look but it's slowly growing on me. I don't however like how they change the new app. preferred scrolling to the right, more natural. I hope they make available on disc as to restore my pc I have to go from 7 to 10, "YIKES."

I have been getting the "Upgrade to Windows 10" window on my Windows 7 computer for several weeks now. This morning I took the plunge and clicked on Upgrade. I was pleasantly surprised how smoothly and quickly it all went.
After reading above some one had printing problems I tried mine and it worked fine.
Now I just have to learn all the new items in 10.....
