Naming my theme Bokeh. I'm playing a lot with vintage manual lenses these days. It's a whole new rabbit hole for me and I'm having a lot of fun with it. This was taken this morning with a 40 year old Helios 44-4 , 58mm, lens at f2, mounted on a Fuji X-T3. Bill, what a shot! Beautiful Bokeh. Glad you shared your playing with us. Keep having fun!

My Theme: "Spring Roses" Margaret Merrill Hyb. Tea rose in our garden this week. Jim, a timely choice of subject. My favorite is the 1st image -- up & personal with a single rose, capturing the details of its petals.

Surprisingly, I will go with birds. It rained for two days so was not out much. These were all taken today. It was still raining when I took the pelican photos. The clouds cleared up and I had a nice walk this evening and took some more bird photos. Pelicans in the morning rain. Red-winged blackbirds should be photographed on cattails...oh well. Horned grebe. A surprise as I have never seen them here on my home ponds. Clive, nice job capturing this variety of birds. I envision these images as material for a collage.

My theme for the week is “Wheels” - in this case, antique wheels. Dennis My theme is “trio”, having spotted this shot this morning during a four-day break in Essex. Dennis Dennis, 1st image -- not your run-of-the-mill wheels. What a finding! 2nd image -- This is my favorite one. It abides by the Rule of Odds (images are more visually appealing when displaying an odd number of subjects).

My theme for the week is "hidden". Today my walk followed the course of a London tributary of the Thames, from its source until it finally joined the Thames - and I never saw a single drop of water! The Effra is just one of several hidden rivers which only finally appear as they become part of the Thames itself. The only indication of the Effra's existence are these plaques which appear in the pavements/sidewalks where the river flows underneath roads. They are fun to seek out as you go. My hopes of finally seeing the Effra for real were cruelly dashed. The powers that be have for months been working on this elaborate framework for the Effra/Thames union. It is still unfinished, and dry as a bone. The crystalline waters of the Effra are no doubt diverted into some sewer elsewhere. Alas, the poor old Effra remains hidden..... Brenda Brenda, what a creative choice of subject -- a hidden river! You nailed it with your images. Interesting history of the Effra!

I'll go with trees as this is a good time of the year here to see them at their greenest. Here's one really old gnarled tree that still has some life left in it = and it's rumoured locally to be haunted! Tony, a very seasonal subject -- trees! Great job capturing this old tree. I keep going back to check its gnarled bark.
