What a lovely photo to start us off hmca… I've used images from Morguefile and Pixabay and also some tubes from Liledekahlan and purplefollie.

I agree with Jan......love what you did BillieJean!
Tubes are entirely new to me. I did a google search and it looks like they would work very well for this type of challenge. I am wondering if you could share a bit about them Billie Jean? Maybe there are other members who are unfamiliar with them as well.

I'm not an authority on this but I believe Tubes come in two types. Poser Tubes which are just images on a transparent background and come as a .png file and the other type as used in Paint Shop Pro which come as a .tub file. These particular Tubes require to be converted in order to use them in other programmes. I believe there are free converters available for this.
I got into digital scrapping about 4 years ago using Serif's CraftArtist programme and that is where I first came across people using Tubes and I find them very useful for a variety of creations. The Tubes I use are of the first variety coming in .png form.

Helen, what a beautiful starter. I was afraid to ruin it, so just added a little gentle rain, which is what we'd love to have around here today.

Thanks, BillieJean. I will try to find out more info on their use.
Frank....I was expecting to see the image change to sepia, or other old film effects.....your creation made me remember how clever you always are.
Rita....thanks.....I like the textured painterly look you've applied.

Wow, some terrific images already from this challenge!
Billie Jean, thanks so much for sharing the info about tubes as I confess my ignorance to having never heard of them. I was just perusing the site which you provided the link for and there are some really great things there. I saw one or two that I would like to use, but I couldn't find any info as to if they are free or if one needs to pay a fee. Would you happen to know BJ?

Helen, thanks for this wonderful starter image. I changed the hue, added a gradient and then added a vignette and border.

I am so sorry, but I feel I have to mention that it has come to my attention that I can't seem to find a way to verify if the images from the site for which I provided the link above are all copyright free. I did not intend to lead anyone astray and if this has caused any problems I am profoundly sorry. Using the images privately would probably be the way to go if you want them. I do apologize and please feel free to delete my page if that's what should be done.

Billie Jean, I just took some time and explored the site. Some of the images posted look like they may indeed infringe on copyright laws. I tried to contact her but her security check was faulty and I couldn't send a message. I am going to remove the link from the post. I understand you were just trying to be helpful, but think this is best.
Thanks, Helen

Thank you for your kind response Helen. I understand completely and I'm sorry to have put you in this position in the first place. I can assure you it won't happen again.
