Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTE This week's theme was suggested by tonyw. (Thanks, Tony!)

Thanks for this still life challenge. Slow Monday morning here so I read about still life photography and gave it a whirl. The descriptions if traditional painting and photography still life refer to composition and in photography still life, manipulated composition was stressed. ( experimenting with different arrangements, lighting, and compositions). I decided to simply walk around the house and look for subjects in situ. All of these were shot in place as is. Nothing was moved to create these photos ... including no dusting. On the deck. Kitchen counter ... displaying the non-matching cooking utensils. The kids gave us some glads two days ago. Some old brass objects in the TV room. In the kitchen bay window.

I always say I'd rather come upon a scene than have to try to create one.....Love your idea, Clive. Just took a walk around the condo and found some arrangements that could work. No time to post now but will add this afternoon.

Stopped by the local farm store today and can never resist this time of the year when they start harvesting fall products including these gourds: Tony

The curator at a local thrift shop was more than happy to let me take a shot or two in her shop. I'll stop now.

More pumpkins - a local grower has constructed a rather nice still life display so had to stop for a photo! Tony
