Nice picture to work with, Maurice! Copied the duck to a new layer. Extended the background using content expand in PS. Hats and basket from HiClipart. Blanket from StockSolo.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while. Health is still an issue and making me feel a bit down ...but anyway, here is my effort. It's looking down though rather than up. Certainly an edit of the original photo. I have to admit to sinking back into using the very first program I got used to, which was Corel Photo-Paint. Also used Xara Photo & Graphic Designer for the cutting out of the duck's head (then imported into Photo-Paint) I hope that's OK. Once in Photo-Paint, it was all done with clones and smears. A task to make the reeds look right where the ducks head was but I think it looks OK. The chick and egg is a slightly modified image from CleanPng.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with health issues just now mart44. Nice to see your edit for this challenge. I think it looks just fine and you can use whatever program you feel comfortable with. Hope you will soon feel more on the up...

Crocodile from Hiclipart. Used levels and posterise adjustments on the bird. Also used the Dodge tool on the birds and the croc and extended the canvas.

Extended the canvas and added items from HiClipart. Edit: Forgot to mention that the texture paper I used to colour the duck is by Syndee Rogers and is part of her Artful Photos class on Digital Scrapper.
Hey Charlene I see you are all done up in your best bib and tucker. What’s the occasion?
