I'm glad I didn't offend anyone. In the "old days" my hobby was to draw and paint, and that taught me a little of light and perspective. However, my skills in Photoshop does not produce any masterpieces though.

About the woman in the photo - I see it quite differently than others. When I saw it - it never entered my mind the woman was supposed to blend in with the photo. I saw it as an artistic interpretation.
However, the discussion of how to make something blend in to another photo was excellent. It's often very difficult to make an insertion look like it was always there. Thanks for providing insight into various techniques to achieve this.

I'm very much a learner here, most of what I've done previously being digital scrapping with another programme. I'm not a photographer either other than the usual family photos and not many of them, so I really do appreciate helpful comments or criticism on anything I do as it all helps with the learning process. As long as a critique is given in a kindly well-meant manner as has been the case here then I for one will never take offence. Now I'm off to practice the blending pointers I've been given – thanks again…
