Craig, thanks for this challenge! It's quite an intriguing starter image!
- Applied the Spherize filter (Filter>Distort> . . .) to create the fisheye effect. - Placed the file into a flair button template.

I rescued one from the general carnage. Looks like he may recover.

Bayla How do you make your moving bits in an image. I love them but I don't have a clue how it's done. Would it be possible for you to share this? Please don't feel obliged if you'd prefer not to. Julie

Julie,
Of course I don't mind sharing. Maybe I should post a tutorial in the member section? Mine are mostly pretty basic though. When I look at something like Sepiana's avatar for example, I feel mine are pathetic! Sometimes it takes me more than one go before I get what I'm after! But they are definitely fun to do
In this particular image I ended up with five layers (two pictures, one eyelid and two eyelash layers) which I had to reduce to two for the animated gif.

Bayla Yes, brilliant idea to post tutorial. In fact, perhaps it could be one of the Creative Effects Challenges??? I think maybe it has to be submitted by one of the Moderators or Admin persons so maybe one of them could comment as to the best method. Certainly, I would love to know how to do this sort of thing Do you remember Ronnie Corbert, Ronnie Barker (?) and maybe it was, oh, I've forgotten, the tall, mad chap in Faulty Towers and A Fish Called Wanda. Anyway, each either looks up to one, or down to another. Your comment reminded me of that sketch. It's all down to perspective and perception, I think;) By the way, it's John Cleese! Phew! Anyway, for fun, here is the sketch. The volume is very low but at the end of this sketch, it's suddenly quite loud so be warned www.youtube.com/watch?v=K2k1iRD2f-c

Bayla Bayla,
Is this just a link to the tutorial? If so, you can just post it here. If not, it may be a good idea to post the tutorial on the Member Tutorials board.
Is this a tut you wrote? If not, make sure there are no copyright issues. Depending on the situation, author's permission to repost the tutorial here and/or the need to acknowledge the author may be in order.
I didn't create my avatar. I get no credit for it. It came from a website which offers free animated flags.

Yes, any suggestions for a tutorial to be used in the Creative Effects challenge should be sent to the Administrators/Moderators. We need to make sure that there will be no copyright violation on our side.
