Hello hmca,
I thank you for your kind response. I followed your explicit directions to locate the ThumbDatabase.db3" file but could not locate the "11.0" folder within the Go/Computer/Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Photoshop Elements" folder. Only an “8.0” folder exists at that location.
I purchased this PSE 11 licence (?) via App Store and no licence No. was ever requested during installation or program use. The internal HD "applications" folder contains a "Photoshop Elemnets 8" folder with its internal folder hierarchy. PSE 11 appears as an icon only - no folder is evident.
Incidently, using PSE 11 under El Capitan on internal HD results in application freezing when "File Save/Save As" is attempted. However, when restarting with external HD Yosemite as active System, PSE 11 will work as advertised albeit through a convoluted method of accessing it.
Confusingly, I have to open "App Store" in external Yosemite System's "Applications" folder, click "Purchased" and click "Open" although the App Store download is "installed" on the internal El Capitan (non active System) drive. I don't know if this is relevant to the exercise of locating the elusive "ThumbDatabase.db3" file but it certainly compounds my confusion at this point.
Is there something else I can try, please?
Sincerely, ranger123.

Hi ranger123,
I don't really know if we have any other member who has the App Store version of Elements 11. At this point, I believe your best bet is to post in the Adobe Photoshop Elements forum and/or in the Adobe Feedback forum. Adobe employees will be available to answer your questions.

ranger123, I agree with Sepiana and think you might find some help on the sites that she has linked above. I wish I could offer you more, but I can't.
Helen
