Great image to play with. Created duplicate converted to B/W Created an elliptical Vignette Transparency encompassing the girl, vase of flowers and part of the table. Saved that as a png file and brought back in. Placed a BG paper from 'A Beautiful Soul' kit by G&T Designs below the Transparency and gave it a Difference Blend Mode. The butterfly is from the same kit. Put a Dissolve Blend Mode on the png transparency. I had to take a screen snip of this and save it to upload as trying to save as either a jpg or a png for some reason meant losing the effects I had used!

Converted to a watercolor and line drawing before merging the layers. Texture from Topaz effects. Created the inner images from a selection and used a blurred copy of the image to make the frame.

Oh! My! Talk about letting the creative juices flow! You all have been quite busy (while I slept).
Moto – Great job! I really like this effect. It made the colors and the lines pop. Would you mind sharing how you did this?
BillieJean – This is quite unique. Everything came together to create a very interesting effect, especially the use of the Difference blending mode.
Whippet – Your entry made me smile. I love the whimsical look of it. It reminds me of an illustration in a children’s book. Frank – Beautiful watercolor/line drawing effect. The texture you applied and the blurred frame raised this creation to another level.

Rita,
I really like this! The addition of the open window and flowering trees really enhance this image. Great idea and execution!

- Extracted the background and replaced it with a texture from Photobacks. - Applied Topaz Texture Effects. - Applied Topaz Clean. - Added some sparkles using Topaz Star Effects. - Created the border effect with Filter Forge.

I'm learning to use Topaz. The possibilities are mindboggling. Sepiana, I really like your Topaz application.

1) Colored Pencil 2) Graphics Novel with Fine Detail option 3) Used a blending mode. Which one I don't remember. 4) Multiple Levels adjustments and a opacity change.
Edited for simplicity

Wow, everyone has done such a terrific job with this image! I opted for a spring bonnet for the lass and a mainly black and white look with a touch of selective colour to the flowers. Finally, I added a warm diffused glow to the overall image.

Wowww, what a wonderful collection of images, was really hard to know what to do with this image so a picture of our planter which was taken last summer from our garden seem a nice idea for this image.
