whippet, great finding to fulfill this theme! I really like your interpretation of Whole & Detail. Very interesting (and humorous) Detail.

Thank you. Actually, I had been wondering if the second image was too close. But I had wanted to show all of the detail.

I've had a go at combining my previous effort into a single image. I am (as you can see) no expert in scrapbooking, which are no doubt the skills I'd need, but nevertheless thought I'd share my meagre effort as part of the Challenge: farm1.staticflickr.com/793/39303707210_abc2e66229_c.jpgFor what it is worth, I imported both images into separate layers in PSE, flipped the image of the 'whole' daffodil, selected it (minus the stalk), added a largish feather to the edge of the selection, cut it onto a new layer and moved it around until it felt the most pleasing. If anyone has some quick and easy tips to help me improve it I'd be grateful, although clearly the real answer for me is to go away and practice practice practice!

Alex, this is a great example of thinking out of the box -- a montage with Whole & Detail! I see nothing wrong with it and you don't need scrapbooking skills to create a photo montage. I really like what you did. It is eye-catching!

I like this theme a lot and there were some really terrific entries. Sorry to be so late posting. The photos were shot during the week of the theme, and specifically for the theme, but with a busy tournament and related travels I'm just catching up now. Here's a pinball machine in Tucson. Bill, what a jewel you found! I hadn't seen one of those machines for a long time. I love how you captured its details!
No need to apologize; there is no longer a "posting deadline". I find it commendable that you thought about this challenge despite being busy with the tournament and travelling.
Just being curious! Did you play (at your own risk)?

Thanks Sepiana. No, I passed on the pinball and tried to keep my attention on the roller derby that was going on a few feet away. ;-)

Decided to go for a diptych for this challenge. This furniture was my wife's great grandmother's - it traveled across the country 2x in horse drawn wagons, We have 2 chairs and 1 love seat. On1 used for all processing.
