Helen, I took mine out of a photo that was also taken in Bruges. Can't tell anymore which site it came from because I collected several until I found one that fit the angle I needed.

Well that started my day off with a laugh, Bailey! I really liked those lanterns, hope they can survive.

Don't know what has happened here. The image opened fine, but when I posted, this is what has now come up. I don't know either. Try uploading your image again.

- Applied a Color Lookup adjustment layer; used a LUT created by Frank (Multiply blending mode, 75% Opacity). - Created the tracing paper/hands effect with a template by scarab13. - Created the border effect with Filter Forge.

PeteB, Another possibility,
Helen, are these your hands? I thought you were using a Canon 7D MarkII? PeteB, you were there?
I am all mixed up, now.

Night with lights...
Frank, I myself find this effect (day to night) to be difficult to achieve. You nailed it! I am going to put you on the spot. HINT: A tutorial. PLEASE!

Just to clarify, the hands are not mine (I never wear red nail polish).... I was taking the photo of the lady taking the photo. HaHa. I hope that clarifies the hands (of a lady I do not know).

Hopefully fotofrank will show how he created his image. For those interested in converting day time photos to night time photos, unfortunately there is no "one size fits all" method. Each photo has to be looked at on its merits and contents and what type of night effect you would like. There is a huge range of tutorials showing different methods on Google.
