ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
This week’s theme was a joint suggestion by Dennis and Brenda -- dennis9 . (Thanks, Dennis and Brenda!) In their own words, this is what the Going Nowhere theme is all about.

That's a good one bailey. While Ned might not be going anywhere, the cats sure are flying high - they are sitting with Sydney atop the AFL leader board at the moment. Goooo Swans!

Thank you Sydney, but I think you have your felines mixed up This is the top of the AFL ladder after Round 13 Richmond (aka The Tigers) are on top. The Geelong cats are 5th and the Sydney Swans 3rd. But the West Coast Eagles have a game in hand. [/offtopic]

No, I don't have them mixed up at all. When I mentioned the cats (with a lower case t) I was referring to the Richmond Tigers, otherwise I would have used Cats to refer to Geelong since that is their proper name. In terms of wins/losses Richmond and Sydney have identical records.

But if you refer to the "cats" in the AFL team context, I can guarantee you that everyone in the traditional AFL states will take it you mean the Geelong club. The Richmond football club is one of the longest running football clubs and has always been known by its nickname "The Tigers" and definitely not the "cats" with either uppercase or lowercase "c". The Geelong Club's home ground is also affectionately known as "The Cattery", and Richmond's home grouns is the MCG or just "The G", so no-one who follows the AFL closely would ever mix up "The Tigers" and "The Cats" AFL teams [/offtopic]

I am afraid this thread is going off track. If you have more to say about this topic, I will be glad to move all the pertinent posts to a thread of its own on the This 'n' That board.

Ok back on topic now, and I am probably cheating a bit here as this image is a composite.
"Road To Nowhere"
(actually it has a bit of a "Thelma and Louise" theme to it as well )

Well, this is static. In our Town Square.
I had never realized how dark this thing was.

whippet, great interpretation of Going Nowhere (Something Static). I really like how your subject (sculpture) exudes motion but it is static. Well done!

Massaging the theme just a little, this tree seems to be going nowhere in particular. It seems unable to decide whether it should be horizontal or vertical. Looks as if it got it right in the end!
