"W" is for Wilderness. Or Woof. Or Waste. Or really, just plain Wacky. Thanks for the theme Sepiana!!

Stretching the "W" a bit but today the farm up the road started picking their sweet corn so had to go get a dozen for tonight - so where's the W - it's Williams sweet corn, those are Williams Wheels and that's a Williams selling it (and agreeing to be in the picture) PS. The corn is now eaten and it was Wonderful - you can't get any better than sweet corn straight out of the field … Tony Tony, I really like your "stretching". Great image -- colorful, sharp, detailed! I can almost "taste" the corn.
I love sweet corn and I quite agree. Straight out of the field is the way to go.

Pete, beautiful shot with all the reflections in the water! Great idea to go for a panorama.

I wanted to get away from the obvious water & window. Took me till now to come up with what is right under my nose . . . . . . . . W is for Weary Whippet.
whippet, perfect for this week's theme! Really nice composition with the spotlight on the Weary Whippet.

I never knew there were so many W's around my house. Three in one. (saving page space). whippet, great eyes! You found "W's" without having to get out of the house. Nice shots!

Wone more - a Working Wooden Wheel. I've tried this shot of this 100 year old system that operates several old oil wells near here before and it's never easy as the only lighting is from a few small windows and flash doesn't really help unless you have a whole bunch of them (as did a pro who was taking shots in here a while back). But it is amazing what shooting RAW and boosting the shadows and backing off the highlights will do. This was shot at ISO 1600, 1/6sec at f6.4 to show the movement of the wheel. Tony

Tonyw - what a fantastic photo. You did a great job in low light, and it looks professional to me.
