ATTENTION!!!
There is no longer a "next Sunday" posting deadline. You can grab your camera, take your photo, and post it in this thread any time you wish to.
Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE
The idea behind this week’s challenge is that, when you compose your shot, you include a foreground object which will frame your subject, i.e., which will help highlight it and draw our attention to it.
The inspiration for this theme was this image by billz . Thanks, Bill!

Was thinking of this challenge when we went to the Portland Art Museum today...... Ha!! You had me for a minute there Helen. I know the Portland Oregon Art Museum pretty well, and this wasn't fitting. ;-) Nice shots for the theme ... from Maine!

Bailey , nicely done. This is an interesting interpretation of the "In a Frame" theme.

Durango & Silverton narrow gauge RR, Engine 486, framed by the trees as it steams up the track. Rick, right time/right place. Great composition -- the engine being framed by the trees (a natural frame).
How close were you to the engine? I really like the angle (perspective) of your shot.

I was about 60 yards away, taken with Canon 60D and EF-S 17-55 lens at 55mm max zoom. Cropped a bit for composition.

Sitting on a bench by a lake yesterday and noticed a movement in the ground and amazingly, framed in the sand, was a newly hatched baby turtle emerging into the sunlight for the first time. As we watched several more emerged before we left them in peace to hopefully survive the journey to the water. And a more conventional framed picture. The steps up to the Dyers Memorial built by a Clifton Dyer in memory of his wife. Tony

Read your link, Wayne. So nice reading about the caretaker who had cared for the memorial so lovingly.
