I went out this morning with the express purpose of filming dew on foliage or grass. I was less than happy with the results, so my letter for this week is "S", for Substitute and Swan. In that way I make the best of a bad morning's efforts.

My letter for this week is "B" - for boardwalk. We walked on long stretches of them as we traversed the dunes along the Norfolk coast. They serve a double purpose: walking is so much easier on a firm boardwalk than on the soft dry sand and the sparse vegetation; and in this way visitors are quietly encouraged not to stray from the path and damage the fragile environment of the dunes.

Brenda, I love how you composed your shot -- the boardwalk leading lines starting at the left lower corner of the frame. Our eyes are drawn into the image (and so are our feet). The environment protection angle makes this boardwalk very special. Great interpretation of the letter B! |

S - is for Sunday (today)
Sand Sea Sky Storm - which started a few minutes later. whippet, very clever interpretation of this theme. A simple composition but one which holds not just one "S" but quite a few. Nicely done! |
