 Image Title: In the Manner of da Vinci Five hundred years ago, Leonardo wrote a treatise on how to create the illusion of 3 dimensional volume on a 2 dimensional surface. It involves giving the subject strong highlights and shadows, the liberal use of blacks for shading, feathering edges, and subtle use of crosshatching. I tried to simulate his tutorial with the help of Dan( dandc ) in ELEMENTS. Did it work?

 My dear friends of 60 years asked if I could combine a picture of their home with this verse. The house IS on the side of a road. It was built in the 1880's and has been lived in continuously ever since by direct descendants. This is my watercolor effort.
