Converted in Lightroom. Light global adjustments in the Basic Panel and the B&W Panel; Lowered some highlights with the adjustment brush; medium contrast in the Tone Curve. Sharpening at 36. Note: did not add Clarity in the Basic Panel because it was producing the undesired side effect of darkening the sea. live.staticflickr.com/65535/48072600973_9000d8d542_b.jpg

Were spent the day yesterday on the Mornington Peninsula, about a 1 hr drive from home. After I dropped off Mrs B. at her function, I spent a few hours taking photos around Sorrento and the Rye Ocean Beach. Being close to the middle of winter I was very lucky to have a partly cloudy day and no rain. Anyway, while at Rye Ocean Beach a small group of keen surfers (they must have since the air temperature was only about 10C) turned up. This is one shot I took that contains a few different water textures, both natural and man made by the surfer. I converted to B&W using Elements+ and just playing with the various sliders. (enlargements are clearer)
