Photo taken today at an old military fort. Tree bark found in an odd place. kdcintx, great finding to fulfill this theme! This is the kind of shot that makes one stop and ask . . . how did that tree bark get there?

This photo was taken before the challenge, but I still wanted to post it, just to show that I'm still alive out here. This was part of a presentation I attended in October by the Black Hills Raptor Center from Rapid City SD. They brought 4 of their raptors down to central Nebraska and we drove up to see the presentation. All of the birds they use in these events have some sort of problems that preclude them being returned to the wild. This demonstration was to show how hard it can be to spot an Eastern Screech Owl in the woods.

preeb , no wonder the Eastern Screech Owl is considered a master at disguising. WOW! Thanks for acknowledging this photo was taken before this challenge! Pleased to see you are "still alive".
