This may not look it, but it's pretty old.... this railroad bed in northeastern Colorado was graded by horse and manpower more than 100 years ago. A lot of muscle and sweat went into this cut and fill. This was taken just minutes before sunset, so the day was pretty old as well. Rick, great capture -- the golden colors, the curvy lines of the railroad bed, the play of light and shadows! In short, this deserves a place on the wall.

This shot taken this morning during my usual stroll through the park. If only this old tree were alive and able to talk, what tales it might tell.
