This may not look it, but it's pretty old.... this railroad bed in northeastern Colorado was graded by horse and manpower more than 100 years ago. A lot of muscle and sweat went into this cut and fill. This was taken just minutes before sunset, so the day was pretty old as well. Rick, great capture -- the golden colors, the curvy lines of the railroad bed, the play of light and shadows! In short, this deserves a place on the wall. |

This shot taken this morning during my usual stroll through the park. If only this old tree were alive and able to talk, what tales it might tell.
