While I can think of a few ways to address this cnallenge., playing with shutter speed and ND filters is one of my favorite things to do. You may see a couple from me this week. ;-) This was shot this morning about 5 minutes after seeing the challenge. ISO 100, f8, SS 0.8 sec, 3-stop ND. Thanks for the theme Sepiana, Dennis and Brenda! Bill, interesting capture -- people "in motion" vs "static” scene. This contrast draws our eyes to . . . something moving.

I'd be taking these anyway, so I may as well post them, right?? ISO 100, f11, SS 0.3 sec, 3-stop ND. Bill, yes, keep posting! Great composition -- multiple leading lines running parallel to the commuter train, adding to the feeling of Something Moving.

Hardly high-speed moving. Two strutting geese. Odd part was I took 4 photos of this synchronized walking pair and the back bird had its eye/s closed the whole time...well, maybe 2 seconds. Perhaps the back eye was open. Clive, these geese are definitely moving (dancing?). Nice job capturing their strut.

I tried to get the trees to move, but they wouldn't. So I moved the camera instead. ISO 100, f11, SS 1/13 sec Bill, nothing wrong with lending Mother Nature a helping hand and doing a great job while at it. A very artistic image!

Ball rolling down an incline ... Multiburst images at 1/30 second. Merged in PPSE 2018 Photomerge "group shot" ... Clive, interesting choice of a moving subject and a great job capturing the ball rolling.

I used a variable ND filter to lengthen the exposure to 1.5secs at f20 on a bright sunny day. Likely should try again with a shorter exposure but did make two attempts so click on the image for some extra motion. Animated in PS once I remembered how to do it! A fun theme and I'm going to have to try some more. Tony Tony, great thinking out of the box! You fulfilled the Something Moving theme. Well done! Keep having fun and . . . keep posting!

I tried to get the river to stop moving. ISO 100, f9, SS 30 sec, 13-stop ND. Bill, you succeeded and, in the process, turned the river into a sheet of smooth, silky water. Beautiful shot!

Plenty of movement in what is usually a quite small cascade in our local park - the result of a very wet February. Dennis Dennis, this image exudes motion despite you freezing it. One can feel the water moving/tossing around over the rocks. Quite a capture!

A bit of an experiment - taken at 1/25 sec while moving the camera vertically. Tony Tony, and your experiment paid off -- you added an artistic flare to this image. Visually pleasing!

If at first you don't succeed - then wait till there is a strong wind blowing, Did not need to use any effects. whippet, your persistence paid off; you finally got something moving. Great job capturing Mother’s Nature in the act!
