Seeing Billz bench along the river on a rainy day I had to stop by this bench today and get a picture as, for a welcome change, the sun was out! Still ice on the river but it's going fast. Post processed in LR and converted using the B&W6 profile with some local graduated and brush adjustments. Tony

Beautifully framed, looks like a perfect spot to sit and enjoy. Nice, Tony!

Leaving soon for the day but just took this quick picture as I liked the shadow on the wall from the chair. Wasn't sure about how much of the table to include or if I should have included it at all. Thoughts?

Thoughts? Helen - I often leave 'compositional elements' extending into and out of my frames. In this case especially I think that the arc of the table leg, intersecting with the chair and the chair shadow works very well. That's just me, but I like it.

Thanks, Bill. I appreciate your reply. I often find it hard to evaluate my own photography.

Interesting how the lines of the bench match the bricks of the wall, Judy.

Didn’t even notice that. I thought it was a little busy

I see what you mean, Judy. I wonder what it would look like if you darkened the wall so tohe bench might stand out better against it.

I took this shot at Nottoway, an antebellum Plantation House in Louisiana. Converted to BW in Photoshop.

What an exquisite chair, Rita. Black and white brings out the texture and the details.

Another bench....took this while we were in Florida. Converted to B/W in Photoshop and then enhanced with a filter from SE which was modified with a mask.
