A fine topic Sepiana ... since we all eat every day. Just behind rice, corn (maize) and wheat, the lowly potato is the world's fourth largest crop. Think about 'em: baked, boiled, mashed, french fries, chips (crisps) hashbrowns, tater tots, potato soup, potato salad ... and vodka. Other vegetables should pay attention to potatoes!  "Potatoes are low in calories — a medium-sized baked potato contains only about 110 calories. They are a good source of vitamins C and B6, manganese, phosphorus, niacin and pantothenic acid." These are Mozart (a Netherland variety) from our back yard. It is a red-skinned, yellow-fleshed variety.  |

Just because we can't go outside right now is no reason to not have a picnic. Leftover fried chicken, eggs, apples, cheese, nuts, veggies and crackers. All with no ants!  Thanks for lunch Sepiana! |

Not sure if this is for the theme Decoration or Food but these white pumpkins are ready for harvest in time for Canadian Thanksgiving (October 12th). Apparently white pumpkins command a premium over the plain old orange ones but they taste just the same.  Tony |
