Firstly, please accept my apologies for posting this late. I know many of you are chomping at the bit to get your teeth into a new challenge, but I'm not going to make it easy for you this month. This Challenge is to present B&W images that contain a repeating image. Let me explain. When I was thinking about your images that most attract me on here, and those that I see elsewhere, often I am drawn to those with an abstract quality, which is often accentuated by some form of repeated motif. Either the arches of a bridge, the windows in a wall, a row of flower stems etc. These don't need to be identical, so for example there could be variation in size, but I'd love to see the same basic form repeated at least three times within each image. Hope that makes sense, and I hope you have fun with this. Knowing you all as I do, you'll come up with both surprising and inspirational versions of the theme, so I'm looking forward to seeing them, and hopefully also I'll get the chance to create some of my own (it has been a while, sadly).

Thanks alexr This interpretation of "repeating" is perhaps more subtle. Barley heads. Alberta, August 2020.

Thanks for the theme Alex. I saw this a couple weeks ago, so when I saw the theme this morning I went right back to get this shot. Repeating patterns in the fence and roofline. B/W conversion and edits in Adobe Camera Raw.

And for a somewhat different interpretation of the theme - I did some publicity shots for a local singing group earlier this year which haven't got much use with events being cancelled so I'll use one here - conversion and framing done in Silver Efex Pro2. Tony

From Tony's singers to onions. Not exactly identical, but definitely repeating. Pincher Creek Hutterite Colony garden, September 2020.
