Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
- Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation.
- Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun. NOTEThe idea is to take TWO shots of the SAME scene, location, person, thing, animal, etc. You have a lot of leeway as to the type of the two shots. Ex.: landscape/portrait orientation, zoom in/zoom out, upwards/downwards perspective, etc., etc. I hope this makes sense! |

I was inspired by a Photographize story about Darien Maderos whose paintings appear to show the subject behind bubble wrap. It's wonderful stuff and you can see the article and some samples here: www.photographize.co/articles/darianmederosSo here's my try at two shots .... with and without bubble wrap. There's a bit of a knack to it, so I'll keep practicing.   Thanks for the theme Sepiana. |

Looking at the left image (backs) you might have thought of the Three Mystic Apes who "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil." Not so when the brass is turned around.  |

Thought I try the portrait landscape plus zoom difference as I was passing the grain elevator and saw the Atlantic Huron was getting ready to be loaded and I found a good spot for a photo. The bulbous bow is for breaking ice on the lakes in winter.   Tony |

One more that didn't quite work out as planned - standing on the same spot looking West and then East as there were trains coming towards me in both directions. I had hoped to do a better job of making it look like I was in the same spot but it didn't quite work out the way I wanted.  Tony |

This morning we took a walk on Epsom Downs and I captured this shot of the racecourse side of the grandstand. The second shot shows the entrance side, serving today as the local Vaccination Centre. Dennis Dennis, great interpretation -- choice of subject and of how you took the two shots. I really like the COVID-19 connection; it makes the 2nd shot a "witness" of history. |

I apologise for posting three shots instead of two, which I hope tell the story of a brief incident which I witnessed yesterday. I feel that the girl rider was extremely lucky that the horse did not topple over, as I know from experience how easily this can happen and how dangerous it can be. Dennis Dennis, no need to apologize! You should be proud of capturing such a subject (incident). I really like the story-telling angle you brought into your entry. |
