Hello: is anyone else experiencing an extraordinarily long time for this update to install? Mike My update install went well ... maybe 8 or 10 minutes. Good luck! Clive

Thanks for replying Clive. I simply retried this morning and it took 11 minutes to install.
Regards - Mike

tourerjim The underscores you see when you press the Alt key are the system-wide Access Keys being activated. Not the same as application-specific shortcut keys, more a way of navigating the UI if you are unable to use a mouse or other pointing-device. So when you press Alt, you can then press n to open the Enhance menu, and then s to choose Auto Smart Fix. Can be handy if there isn't a shortcut for something you want to do in Photoshop Elements, but remember it's a keyboard sequence - Alt n s - not Alt+n+s And as far I'm aware, this feature has been built-in to Photoshop Elements right back to version 1.0 Aww okay bit surprised not noticed before or may not of taken much notice, ya learn something everyday tourerjim Actually I think you might be on to something! If you're on Windows 10 and are using the Alt-Tab method to quickly switch between apps, you'll notice that the Editor briefly underlines the Access Keys before reverting to their normal state (the expected behavior). The Organizer however appears to get stuck in Access Keys mode, and you have to press the Alt key twice to remove the underlines. That's maybe why you've never noticed this behavior before, and obviously shouldn't be happening.

...and I am happy to report that Elements2021 does not appear to be destroying my .psd files as it was before. Whew! ....having said that, I still have Elements 2020 and if I am working on something time-consuming, I use it before 2021, ...being a scaredy-cat and not trusting the void.
