Used a background image and front and back cover images from StockSolo....... Great take on the challenge Helen. That little fellow looks like he's deep into the story.

I have found an interesting site that has free templates for all sorts of book 'things' - I did a search and did not find any warnings or bad reviews - scamadvisor gave it a clean bill of health, but they had limited info. I cannot personally endorse this site because I have not used it yet, but I will be downloading from it to see how their templates work. Worth a look covervault.com/

I don't think I'd ever make an author but it was fun trying... Images from Unsplash, Pixabay, HiClipart

I have found an interesting site that has free templates for all sorts of book 'things' Worth a look covervault.com/Janice, thanks for the link! I will add it to the Templates thread on the Goodies board. Just adding some clarification . . . It looks like some of their templates use Layer Groups. This feature was introduced in Elements starting with v.15. Users of earlier versions will need a workaround as described in All About Layer Groups.

I don't think I'd ever make an author Well certainly you could be a book cover designer, Lillias. Like the way you have presented your images and the pairing of fonts. Looks very professional to me.

Looks great to me Judy. The front cover captivated me right away and now I want to read it to find out all about the mystery. The colour/tone you have used all adds to that air of mystery. Good job.

fotofrank, Nice job! How did you get the book under the cover? I've tried to do that without success. fotofrank , I'm impressed and I have the same question. It looks so real! Please, share your secret! I used the fiber filter to create the lines and then used liquify to round one end and transform distort to angle the other. After I had created one side I duplicate and flipped to make the other side. A number of Layer Styles completed the look. I also used liquify on the spine of the book. Frank, Thanks for sharing your technique! Very effective! Now I understand how you got such a "realistic" book cover. I had noticed the curve on the spine of the book but I couldn't figure out how you had done it. I don't remember having used the Fibers filter before; I need to check it out.

Beautiful cover whippet. Thank you for introducing me to Frances Browne. It’s amazing how some people can overcome tremendous odds in life becoming an inspiration to others in the process and Frances Browne certainly falls into that category.

Ohhhh...I like the picture you chose for the cover and you really did a nice job with the complimentary font and border. Sent me to Google to read about Frances Browne. Very nice, Margaret.
