I am surprise it gets that cold there to form ice in the river. Actually we don't get ice on the river all that often as it has a very strong current. There is quite a bit today but we are supposed to warm up next week.

I was surprised that you'd get any ice at all in the river. I am going to the valley today and going into a river section where will be open water. Apparently, the eagles are hanging around to eat geese that like to hang out along the open water.

Not often seen in the states but see they mainly breed in Australia. That's quite a field of them!

1938 Buick Sure hope it waits a few more days to erupt; I would hate for that Buick to get hot cinders on the paint.
Is it a RoadMaster ? My buddy has a 1938 RoadMaster Buick the same color in his garage.
The front bumper is touching the wall and the door just grazes the rear bumper; there is so much junk piled all around it that it would take a major event to get it outside; it looked brand-new when it was pulled in there; I would say it would be quite dusty now.

Have seen this water tower from a distance where I go to get my hair cut. Finally decided to see if I could find it. May be worth going back with my camera. Will probably try a few different edits. While you're at it, get the history on that factory that it supports.
I love those old water towers.
We had one just like it that was our towns water supply and the powers that be just couldn't tear it down fast enough once they got a big modern eyesore water tank to take it's place.
The people in authority around here don't have much appreciation for history.

Hope to go back and get a shot minus the people. If the situation allows it, you can mount the camera on a tripod and take several shots with the people in different spots and then create a people-less picture by merging them. Of course, if it were me, they would all congregate in one spot and never move. Another solution would be to toss a stink bomb amongst them, or sic a big dog on them; they would scatter then.
