what singles him/her out as being young, I missed your "young" question. It was quite small compared to "adults" .. perhaps half the mass of an adult.

The eagles are still around. I learned today that they hang out in this area in Feb most years. No one told me! It's on my 2025 February calendar now. I saw 17 different bald eagles today including a convocation of 14 in this tree. Never seen this many at one time before.

If you want to see thousands, go to the down-stream side of Kentucky Dam (Tennessee River).
Curiously, Barklay Dam (Cumberland River) is so close that they have a man-made channel that connects the two lakes; you will see a few Eagles at Barklay, but nothing to compare with the vast numbers at Kentucky.
At either dam, tens of millions of huge white-bellied fish get chopped to bits as they come through the dam; most as long as ironing boards and big enough to swallow a man alive; just below the dam, the top of the water is covered with these dead or addled fish rapidly floating downstream.
I don't know whether it is a good or a bad thing, but it is a 240+-mile drive for me to see either of these dams.

Eat all you want and stay slim! Saw this as I was passing by today and stopped to take the picture. The perfect combination. Eat all the burgers you want and then run upstairs to exercise and burn off those extra pounds! Kind regards Chris

If you want to see thousands, go to the down-stream side of Kentucky Dam (Tennessee River). Thanks. That would be incredible. I won't get there in my life. I've seen photos from the west coast with dozens hanging around. BTW, around here they live on geese all winter as tens of thousands of geese stay in the area because of the open river water.

Stopped down at the beach today to see the beach replenishment. Phone picture. Then what I got back I was able to capture the dredger from the balcony with my Sony 70-350 lens cropped.

Eat all the burgers you want I do like a Whopper; I could eat two right now, but I will leave the exercising to someone else.
A dear friend of our's has been a registered nurse for 30-years or more and she has always said exercise will kill you; I tend to agree.

Captured earlier before it started moving towards rain.... Good winter captures. Have you had more snow this winter than usual? Or about normal?

Have you had more snow this winter than usual? Or about normal? Below normal, Clive. We typically had 3 or 4 good snow storms with 6 - 8 in. or more. This morning's snow (maybe 3 or 4in.) already has the grass showing through and the skies are clear. This links to some record NJ snowfalls.
