Am I correct in assuming that the cockatoo was not part of any zoo or preserve, jackscrap?

What a cutie, much prettier than our common old sparrows.

much prettier than our common old sparrows. Thanks Jackie. Are you plagued with English house sparrows? There are more house around than house finches, but they are part of our nature now and noting to be done about it. There are 13 species of sparrows here. Think I have photos of nine species. Would make a nice Christmas card. Thanks Howard. Have more Christmasy ones somewhere.

We went to Bell Works New Jersey today. It is about a half hour away. We have been there before but it was a number of years ago. Such a creative use of the old Bell Labs site. Took quite a few pictures but tried to find two that would give a general idea of the space. It touts itself as being one-of-a-kind destination for business, technology, retail, wellness, dining, hospitality + center.

I think I could happily spend quite a few hours in there.

Lucky you, today we are sweltering again in 39° heat, same again for tomorrow. Yes, much of the country is suffering the heat this week, not quite as bad here and the coastal effect helps. I wouldn't like to be out west ion a black-roofed house today. Fingers crossed no fires anywhere.
