Lovely images everyone and a real variety in subject material. .........here goes......... PeteB - Locktender's House on the Delaware Canal. This has incorporates much that I love about scenes - lovely colors, composition, reflection and leading lines. The red makes a lovely contrast to the greenery and highlights the leading lines. DeanB- books. I always having a hard time picking out which of Dean's still lifes I like best! The soft warm glow of the candle lights the image, yet contrasts with the textured greys in the background. The red of the books shows off the yellow of the roses and the foreground book leads the eye to the other subjects. Add to that a pair of glasses, an old lantern and VOILA!....you have a wonderful still life which is reminiscent of the old masters. My IOW goes to KathyLee's Nottingham Lake. This composition is full of reflection and light and I love the way the foreground rocks (including those under water) engage the viewer and draw him/her into the colors of the image. (...and this reminds me so much of a lake where I grew up in the Rocky Mountains, so there is a bit of nostalgia too!) Well done KathyLee! (and....ahahahah.....how can you not love that dog that looks like a mop!!!)

Thank you for picking my photo for IOW There were so many great photos to choose from and I appreciate the recognition. Congratulations Pete and Dean . I could not resist adding Mop Dog, I have found out since there really is a breed that looks just like a mop and is called Mop Dog as it’s nickname!!!!! I forget the actual name but it is a Hungarian Sheep Dog. I am off traveling again up through Minnesota and hope to get some good pictures along the way!!!!

Komondor, kathylee. Not a common breed, I have only seen a couple. I always feel like getting a brush out, and give them a good grooming. Or, better still, give them a short back and sides.

Ah ha yes, that is the name. I was just, I guess, too lazy to look it up again!! Thanks. That was the first I had ever seen and it was amazing. Looked almost like dread locks or extensions!!!! They go for about $1000 I read and it would not be that amazing to see one in Vail!!!!!! Lot’s of money there!!!!!
