The city storm sewer system runs under the bottom of a ravine I frequently walk. The incongruity of a manhole cover in a forest trail was not wasted on a local who uses it to design and maintain different mandalas a couple times a week. So we have a natural setting, with a person-made object, decorated with natural elements laid out by a person. Thanks for the theme Sepiana. I love this path and on seeing the theme this morning I knew immediately where I'd go today. Bill, I really like this! Perfect entry for this week’s theme. Another job well done (as usual)! Pleased to hear this theme took you to the path you love.

A chain-saw carver recently gave a demo in a local park - no shortage of material as a result of the emerald ash borer and the tree removers leaving the stumps for carving. Here's one of their man-made creations in a naturalised corner of the park. Tony, you definitely nailed this theme. And did it with your trademark -- colors and details. Well done!

I have one in the air and one on the sea......hope to post one on land later in the week. Saw this old boat in the marshland today. Helen, I’m hard pressed to pick a favorite. I’m leaning toward the first two images. I like the simplistic composition with all the negative space.

Man made Lock Gate for natures cobwebs. Jim, this takes top honors for creative interpretation of this theme. You have great eyes -- noticing those cobwebs.

Bike ride along Souris River, I am on dike built to contain future floods, which explains rocks. Kayakers never seen before, golf course long time done. cjt, this is the kind of image that takes one back to it again and again. Several examples of man-made features in a nature-made setting.

The "Long Man of Wilmington" in the Sussex South Downs. Matthew Matthew, awesome -- a man-made feature with a history! I really like how you composed your shot -- our eyes are naturally drawn to that figure in the background.

Many pairs of feet have tramped out this path along the side of the South Downs, and today we added our contribution. Brenda Brenda, contribution on more than one count -- personal fitness, fulfilling this theme, and great composition. I love the path leading lines drawing our eyes to the human element in the background.

kdcintx, you are not late at all; there is no posting deadline for this challenge. I love how you captured light/shadows in your image. Beautifully done!

At the bottom of the hill on my today's picture. This has been here for many years.

Well that is intriguing, whippet. Is the key attached to the trunk and is the whole thing attached to something? If it was in the US I'm afraid it would be covered with graffiti......if it wasn't stolen.

Sorry about the delay, Helen. The whole thing is made of metal - including the straps. On the top, those are destination labels. The coloured part of them have faded away over the years. The trunk is still in good condition, because it is in woodland, in the country, a place where the thieves and graffiti artists probably don't have the stamina to go.
