Some quick shadows from this morning....... Helen, I like the angle you shot these shadows (downward); it emphasizes the shapes and lines, especially in the tennis court image.

Many hours of fun when our boys where young. Jim, great thinking out of the box. I like the composition -- one single shadow and lots of negative space.

After a bird road-trip outing this afternoon, my wife (Willie) and I went for a walk around the ponds. Shadows and shade in small snow mounds. Willie and her shadow along the pathway. Clive, I'm hard-pressed to pick one but I will go for the snow mounds. Beautiful playing of light and shadows.

The sun came out briefly on this mornings dog walk: Tony, and you took advantage of it. I really like how we can see the grass through the two shadows. It adds "texture" to the shadows.

Today was the only hope for sunlight this week, and it's been cloudy/rainy all day. Several days of storms roll in later this evening, so it'll be an indoor shadow this week. I started playing with an egg in window light against a dark backdrop and began to wonder how the shadows would interact in a multiple-exposure. I've got a few days to find something with a more interesting shape. Thanks for the theme Sepiana. Bill, simply beautiful! The kind of image that keeps one going back to it for a full appreciation.

Taken yesterday morning on a walk along the Norfolk coast near Great Yarmouth. Matthew Matthew, great composition -- double curvy leading lines (shadows + fence). I really like how you included the human element in the corner of the frame.

A visit to my favorite semi-covered bridge today so good for a shadow on the grass walkway. Tony, very nice! A "tunnel vision" of the shadows. You got the sun at the right angle for this shot.

whippet, great choice of subject. The curvy lines of this bird sculpture created beautiful shadows.
