More arcs. Anyone want to guess what these are? This is a center-pivot irrigation system. The main overhead water pipe is in sections and each has its own set of wheels. The sections are arched. Note the arched shadows. January 15, 2022 near town.

Here's a throwback! My second version of Elements on CD. Thanks for the theme Sepiana! Bill, what a trip down memory lane! I love how you composed your shot to capture not one by a few arcs. And with a nod to Elements! Elements 4 was my 1st version (a gift from my husband). I got hooked. Look at my signature!

A window at a local place of worship with some interesting arches (and reflections) And the arches at another local place worshipped by many (but not me!) Tony, these are two great interpretations of arches. The first one is my favorite; it shows your love of symmetry. The reflections are the cherry on the cake.

After seeing Bill's CD, I challenged myself to see what I could find inside. I think my kitchen chair and table should work. The first one is taken from the porch of the building. The next also taken from the porch shows the three arches. The last is looking at the front of the building from the grassy area. Helen, the 1st entry is a visually appealing image with the shadows of the arcs on the wall. My favorite is the 2nd one with the building arches creating a triptych. I just love triptychs in photography!

My contribution to this week's theme - the brick arch next to the fireplace. I see it every day. Dennis Dennis, beautiful contribution! This image exudes warmth and friendliness. I keep going back to check the decorations and the clock inside the arch; their colors complement its brickwork.

After being silly cold recently, a Chinook ( here) blew in yesterday and a decent Chinook Arch (scroll down the linked page) developed this afternoon. A Chinook Arch is not an actual arch but a result of simple perspective. These panos span close to 180° north to south and probably cover 150 km or more. (~100 miles end to end.) Clive, that's not an arch one sees everyday. Good thing Mother Nature was on your side. Great capture!

Frank, what an intriguing image! It piques the viewers' curiosity. What lies ahead under that arch? Great capture of its details. One to hang on the wall!

Arc on the boom and can see one on the bucket. This branch kinda reminded me of an arc. Jim, you always surprise me with your interpretations. The 2nd one is a winner! That branch is indeed shaped like an arc. Great finding!

This impressive row of arches supports a viaduct high above a river valley in north London. Strangely enough, the trains that run aloft here are Underground trains! Brenda Brenda, great job! First, you caught the viewers' attention with a shot of the viaduct arches going diagonally across the frame. Then, you zoomed in and captured the arches in a kind of "tunnel vision". Very effective composition technique!
