IOW Submission Thread April 21 - May 1, 2022

Hi everyone and thank you for your contributions! I'd like to highlight the images that stood out for me this week:

At the bottom of the stairs by dandc - I really like the interplay of the light and shadows and texture. While it seems a simple enough picture of light through a window showing on a staircase, the deep shadows make you question whether there is something else there.

Contemplation by Lillias - Composites are tough and I thought this one came out very well. I particularly like the harmonious palette, which really helps pull the work together.

Take this path by jackscrap - I find it is hard to select a picture that translates well into a digital painting. Not all images take to the digital effects in a way that makes a compelling image. I think jackscrap has done a nice job selecting and processing this image.
