No machines here - just hills to climb with shanks' pony and a dog for company Tony, this looks like quite a workout -- going uphill (and on uneven ground). Great example of fitness!

I was about to roll out my exercise mat, but cooler heads prevailed. This is the Portland Exercise Course. Well into a 50-year decline, parts of the course can still be found along overgrown paths winding through the hills of Southwest Portland. Quoting from an online article "Opened to the public back in 1974, the course was part of the Swiss parcourse fad that swept through the nation. The course was conceived as a two-mile, 20-station fitness trail along the side of the Southwest Portland road, guiding users through simple calisthenics and to exercise equipment constructed off the pathway." Bill, what a shame they didn't keep up this exercise course! Exercise and nature are like two peas in a pod.

Fitness walk for one man and his dog. In the same park, it is never too early to start getting fit. Dennis Dennis, these two images would make great ads for the pursuit of fitness, inspiring people to get fit (no age boundaries).

I often walk alone and occasionally with one or two others. Somewhat out of character, I joined an informal group of birders this evening for a walk in the river valley. Clive, very nice. An inspiring combo of fitness and photography.

Not my best photo, but it slides in on the edge of the category. This is my confirmation that "Fitness" can be subjective. On October 1, 2021, that scale displayed 316. 33 weeks and 69 pounds later this is the reality - I feel 100 times better than I did a year ago. Comparing now to then, I'm more "fit" than I've been for 20+ years. (I don't know why it makes my feet look fat... they are actually pretty bony these days Rick, great thinking out of the box with this take on Fitness -- a healthy weight. Very creative! Congratulations are in order. Kudos to you!
