Barn murals are quite popular here and here's one that was done in 1981 by a painting party. An artist drew the outline in chalk, divided it into 1 ft squares and it was then then painted by party-goers. Looks pretty good 41 years later. Second one is more recent and on a building that is now a fire station but started life manufacturing automobiles - the Maxmobile - the last was built in 1912 and is still around and it runs! between then and the fire station it became an armory - the middle mural Tony, they seem to be in excellent condition. I really like the barn mural and how it was painted (by party-goers). Great teamwork! |

I happened to be downtown and remembered the challenge. Here are three of the many around town. Judy, amazing! These are works of art. My favorite one is the 2nd mural; it looks so 3D. |
