It's a little too tight for me, Jim.......but thanks for sharing your take on this. You're right, Helen. It is more confining. Just threw it out there for another possibility.

No problem, Jim. Always fun to experiment.

Thank you for sharing Helen. I like the historic and country feel to this image. I have enjoyed seeing all of these takes. Here is another version I came up with using Camera distortion and vignetting. In PSE 2020 I used Filter/Cotrrect camera distortion as an alternative to cropping Then I used graduated brightness -21 to darken the right side. Then I added another layer on top and using the brush tool painted on black around the 4 corners to add an extra vignette. Kind regards Chris

Thanks for stopping by, Chris. It has been interesting to see the variations on the crop suggestions. And everyone's efforts have been appreciated. I found it difficult to jump back and forth in an effort to compare suggestions. Thought I'd put them all on one page for anyone interested.

It is a very interesting photo. I think I like the minimalist cropping. I don’t want to lose much of the photo

Here's the square as you suggested...
I really like this Helen; I find it very compelling! It is a real joy looking around and seeing all the nice textures and colors.

I agree with Tom. This is my favorite crop...it focuses on an interesting section of the photo.
I think trying to keep everything in the photo is akin to dining out these days. The chefs want to be different so they throw every spice and condiment they can into the dishes.
I'm a HUGE fan of minimalism...in food and in photos!

Surprising to see this post come up again.....and still generate some interest. Tom and Vicki you both have chosen the crop favored by a friend who isn't on our forum.
