Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in this challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE: A link to a video playing the song whose tittle is being interpreted by your image will be appreciated. If not possible, a link to the song lyrics will do. Happy Shooting and Happy Singing!

This is a photo from today - a sighting of cattle egrets around our retention pond I googled bird songs and came up with this "gem" - read the lyrics - they're a hoot Tennessee Bird WalkTake away the trees and the birds All have to sit upon the ground Take away their wings and The birds will have to walk to get around And take away the bird baths And dirty birds will soon be ev'rywhere Take away their feathers and The birds will walk around in underwear Take away their chirp and the Birds will have to whisper when they sing And take away their common sense and They'll be headed southward in the spring Oh remember my darling When spring is in the air And the bald headed birds Are whisp'ring ev'rywhere You can see them walking Southward in their dirty underwear That's Tennessee Bird walk Jack Blanchard & Misty Morgan - Tennessee Bird Walk www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-OrVQaqkg0

Janice,
What a way to start this challenge! You raised the bar here. Your image and this song are made for each other. Those egrets seem to be doing the Tennessee Walk.

Janice,
I love the way you took a photo & then found a song to fit it! A bit like the archer who aims his arrows at the target & then draws rings around the arrow afterwards so he can claim he hit the bullseye! I have been trying to do it the other way round!

Bill,
You nailed it! Perfect match of song and photo. And my favorite -- Jimmy Buffett. You got me singing (and dancing) . . .
"Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call, Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall. You've seen it all, you've seen it all."

Thanks Sepiana. I met this gent on the riverside this evening and after a few minutes chatting, the theme and the song title came to mind.

Thanks Sepiana for this weeks Challenge. I have been thinking about it all week with no results. Then this morning I was in my workshop and seen this hammer I was using yesterday, and this song popped into my head. Now I can't seem to stop singing it. Peter Paul and Mary, If I Had A Hammer I'm sure most of the people here have heard it one time or another.
Here is a video:link
"AND I HAVE A HAMMER, AND I HAVE A BELL, AND I HAVE A SONG TOO SING, AND I HAVE LOVE BETWEEN MY BROTHER'S AND MY SISTER"S, ALL OVER THIS LAND!"

Reverting back to my childhood, a nursery rhyme/song "The Farmer in the Dell". In this case the farmer is my father in law, who has been a farmer his entire life. He is a month shy of 92 and has farmed either with his father or on his own for some 85 of those years, whether doing farmyard chores or actually farming the land. Here he is just spraying for weeds on our lot as he semi-retired from active farming about 15 years ago, but he still lives at the farm and maintains the yard and all of the buildings, while renting out his land for a share of the proceeds. He is happiest when he is working on the land. They coined the phrase "salt of the earth" for this man.

So many possibilities that I had to add a second entry. "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" I think a lot of them went here - more sunflowers than there are young girls to pick them. Just a block from my house.
