My Chrome browser has acquired another new huge annoyance; they have put a Search Tabs button right over the Minimize Window button; so now, once I open a Chrome window, I cannot minimize it.
Is anyone else seeing this ?
Is there any way to get rid of it ?
Thanks.

It doesn't appear that way on my Chrome. If you right click an choose new tab does that help?

No; it just lingers there.

Sorry, BuckSkin. Maybe someone else will be able to help.

Here is what I have:Right square on top of the minimize button on every Chrome window.
When I click it, I get a drop-down menu listing every open tab; it might occasionally be handy if it wasn't obstructing something else.

Good idea but it just won't move or disappear.
Providing I can find a bare place, I can right-click and then choose minimize from the menu, but that's a lot of unnecessary maneuvering compared to what it was.
I have tried to relocate or get rid of that new button but no luck yet.

Is anyone else seeing this ? Yes. Started (what?) a few weeks ago. A royal pain in the butt. Will be okay for a couple of days and then not for a couple of days. I shut down every night and restart in the morning. Today's startup was good. Is there any way to get rid of it ? Ugh, not that I am aware of. I suffer with it for a while and then just restart the computer. 70% of the time that works all the time. It does work about 3 out of 4 times. Looking forward to better suggestions.

Therefore, I have no idea if these instructions will apply to what you describe. Remove Search Tabs Button from Google Chrome Title Bar

I use Chrome on Win 11.
When it happens again I will take a screen shot of the problem and then a shot of the "normal" display.

Does it get any better after you apply the update that's shown? Thanks Dan. The screen shot on that help page is not showing the problem, we/I are/am experiencing. When it happens the blue bar shown here is hidden. The minimize, max and X buttons are hidden.

Any chance that you have a custom display scaling set (for those using Windows)? Wondering if that is what is giving the odd arrow. I have Chrome on Windows 11 and while I have the search tab, it doesn't obscure the minimize/maximize buttons.

This must have rode in on a recent update; it wasn't there a few days ago.
Chrome updates itself without any interference from me.
It is a royal pain for sure.

BuckSkin , grab the bar at the top of the window (the tool bar with the tool you can't access) and just drag it down. You should be able to access your minimize button. If that doesn't work, try right-clcking on the Chrome icon on your toolbar on the bottom of the window (the one that shows all your open programs). Once you right-click, you can choose minimize or close. Hope this helps.
EDIT: BuckSkin, just looked and right-clicking won't minimize the window. It will only allow you to close it. Oh, well...hope the first suggestion works for you!
