There are a multitude of Docks that can be seen on the river. I will go with these two pictures taken this morning..... Helen, I particularly like the second image. You did capture a multitude of Docks. Very nice!

D is for Dipladenia - this one is a few years old and lives outside in the summer and comes inside for the winter - it's been inside for a few weeks now and still in flower and looking healthy. I took the shot inside against a white background and did a "sky" replacement to add some colour. Tony, beautiful D! Great job capturing its details and texture.

D is for daily walk ... and finding a dog out on his daily walk as well. The owner, an equally free spirit, was just a couple steps away. Thank for the theme Sepiana! Bill, in the right place at the right time. I love how you captured this D coming towards you and your camera. Just look at that face!

D is for D avid's Pecan Melt-away cookies. They are sooooooo delicious with coffee or milk and our local Costco only stocks them once a year (they sell out fast). Jim, these D cookies look delicious! And they are a "tasteful" interpretation of this theme.

Despite the cold, I had a wonderful walk this afternoon in the valley. Was sunny and no wind and I walked in the river valley for 90 minutes. D is for downy woodpecker. We just call them "downies." D is for drift ice. River ice is building fast in the cold. D is for ducks. Goldeneye ducks in this case. D is for down. Goose down caught on a dead twig. Clive, your neck of the woods seems to be full of Ds. Great job finding and capturing such a variety.

D is for Decoration and Decorator. Today was the annual "Christmas with Santa" where local kids get their photo taken with Santa by the camera club. We've got quite good at this and can turn around postcard sized prints in under 30 seconds. Set up was in a corner of the community centre gym - here's what the Decoration looked like with the chief Decorator having just finished Decorating and taking a break in Santa's chair. Tony, a very seasonal choice of D. All captured with your trademark -- colorful and detailed.
