Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Not the best of weeks weather wise for pictures but did take advantage of a brief respite from rain and fog to take the camera with a wide angle lens into town - I interpreted the theme as an urban landscape (so couldn't resist including a tree!). Here are a couple of the shots. The first has a thermometer in it where you can see the temperature was 15°C (60°F) - unusual for January here and no snow to be seen (it's heading this way) Tony

Oregon City, Oregon. The old Blue Heron Paper Company is in the foreground and the old power station (still in limited use) sits across the river. The paper factory was built on ancestral grounds of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde which recently reacquired the land with the intention of restoring it to something close to natural. Under close environmental scrutiny, the long ago abandoned buildings are being demolished and hauled for recycling and reuse. Thanks for the theme Sepiana!

From the top of the hill in Greenwich Park you can view the Thames, the Cutty Sark and in the distance, Central London. i.ibb.co/JcrbVRs/Br.jpgBrenda

you can view the Thames, the Cutty Sark Mathew, Nice scenes. Perhaps you have posted the Cutty Sark before and I commented before. It is a handsome boat. I visited the ship in either 1957 or 1974...can't remember which year...possibly both years. Clive

The 2nd image is an eye-catcher -- the inclusion of a tree, framing the buildings, in a kind of peekaboo style.

Bill, great finding -- a cityscape with a history, one that elicits an emotional reaction from the viewers. Another job well done!

Walking in London with Mum yesterday, I saw this great view of London from the east. Matthew Matthew, and you did a great job! Like your Mum's entry, your image has several layers of interest. Our eyes are drawn from foreground to background.
