Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTE
This week's theme was a joint suggestion by Dennis, Brenda, and Matthew -- dennis9. (Thanks, Dennis, Brenda, and Matthew!)

Spring is just around the corner and even on this frosty morning, buds are preparing to break out into blossoms. i.ibb.co/TYcLDPt/SD2.jpgDennis

Thanks Brenda, Dennis and Matthew. Break overload. Had a lovely walk in the river valley today under brilliant sunshine. All of these break photos were shot this afternoon except the first photo. Some words of qualification with each photo. Gimme a break, eh! A cold front came through late yesterday and was preceded by a dark wall of clouds that can be seen through the break in the trees.
Geese chillin' on the river edge .. taking a break.
Hardly the Ross Ice Shelf, but a shelf nonetheless along the river's edge. A large break is seen in the ice.
Like the geese, this sleeping porcupine is taking a break from its hectic life: sleep, eat, climb down, waddle to another tree, climb up, sleep, eat. Repeat. I'd make a good porcupine and I'd apply if I could eat tacos instead of bark. Nicely backlighted...
Definitely out for the count ... dreaming of eating bark. Yum.

I liked the glimpse of what was beyond created by these "breaks" in this fencing. I thought the "heart" shape was especially appropriate for this week.

Spring is just around the corner and even on this frosty morning, buds are preparing to break out into blossoms. Dennis Dennis, great job catching these buds in the action. The viewers can feel their anticipation -- they are about to break out into blossoms.

Helen, two rather different interpretations of Break but both fitting this challenge to a T. Nice job!

The employee break room. Thanks for the theme Dennis, Brenda, and Matthew and for hosting it Sepiana. Bill, this image catches our eyes. "What is he talking about" is our first reaction. Then, we notice the basketball hoops on the wall. Very clever interpretation of Break!
