Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.NOTE This week's theme is about capturing a subject which is painted from the start. It is not about creating a painterly effect in post-processing. Happy Painted Hunting!

I had a few options for this theme but decided to go with this one. It is an example of the connections we have the opportunity to create as a result of being part of this friendly community. Hans and I were both hosts of the “Be Creative” Challenge at our former site Elements Village.
Hans not only enjoyed photography but created some beautiful watercolor images as well. He gave me this one when we had the opportunity to meet in person visited Rotterdam in 2015. u.cubeupload.com/HMCA/Weekly1.jpg

A lack of inspiration for this challenge...stuck in the house for 11 weeks in a leg cast and not many paintings at home to photograph. So....here's a simple close up of some Aboriginal art we bought a few years ago, called Sand Tracks and dominated by the colours of the Aboriginal flag.

Back to look at this, Howard. It's really quite mesmerizing.

Painted garden ornament in memory of my favorite chicken, Miss Purple, who went to the great coop in the sky in December 2022. She was 12 years old.

I came upon this naive but attractive representation of the story of Noah's Ark painted on the side of an unassuming little church in the London suburbs. The rather chilling question that accompanied the illustration reminds us all yet again of the perils of Climate Change. (I do however also remember being read a biblical text wherein the Lord God said: "I do set my bow in the clouds as a sign that the waters shall never again cover the earth" - or something like that - so perhaps there is hope for us after all.) i.ibb.co/7G4TY1x/P.jpgBrenda

The van and the parking lot are painted the same colors. Bill, this is awesome! Very creative painting job. I love those blue wheels. (Blue is my favorite color.)

The decorated outside of a print and sign shop The ugly back wall of a row of stores - improved a bit with a mural Tony, the angle you took the 1st shot makes it look 3D, with the painting wrapping around the corner of the building. The second one is my favorite -- a utilitarian painting.

Brenda Brenda, what a timely painting -- one about climate change! We need more like this; climate change is for real. Kudos to the artist(s) who painted it!
