Cool looking dog. I'm reminded of a fictional dog by the name of Strange created by Patrick MacManus. I never saw a picture of Strange but I think this could be him,😊

Just look at that attitude written all over his face. BuckSkin ... yeah, it's that face as Janice mentioned. I found a story about Strange. Here are a couple of quotes from Patrick McM's story about Strange. They seem to agree with your "He had just as soon sh__(evacuate his bowels) in your yard as somebody else's." I had always wanted to have a dog I could be proud of, but instead I had Strange. … Strange … enjoyed chasing cows, but merely for the sport. He considered pointing impolite. If he retrieved a duck, it was for his own use. Any tricks he knew he kept to himself. … He was a connoisseur of the disgusting. He turned up his nose at my grandmother’s cooking, then dined happily on cow chips, year-old roadkill, and the awful offal of neighborhood butcherings. …
Concern for the sensibilities of the reader prevents me from mentioning some of my dog’s more disgusting hobbies, except to say they involved highly noxious fumes, chickens, human legs, embarrassing itch, and various slurpy aspects of what passes for dog hygiene.
Is Ol' Sooner your dog?

Goodness No; nothing like that is going to eat at my house and me have to watch everywhere I step; the only kind of dog that can expect a meal at my house is a Border Collie.
There are actually a pair of those, a male and a female, that my cousin paid more than a new pickup for and went to the airport and picked them up.
Those high-dollar dogs are just as apt to get under the hind wheels of the milk truck as a free one that got dropped off on you; actually, more so, as it seems those vagabond free-loader dogs have a knack for escaping death; whereas, the more expensive the dog, the less common sense he has.

If you want a story about a real dog that is pretty funny, Farley Mowat wrote "The Dog Who Wouldn't Be". Just for Clive, author is Canadian and somewhere in the prairies is the locale. cjt
