Hi everyone, Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. The rules are rather simple.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

This bone china cup and saucer belonged to my late Mother-in-Law, a birthday gift from an old friend . When we were looking after Mum in her final days, I tried serving her a small helping of ice cream in the cup and saucer in the hope of tempting her to eat a little something. She managed only a couple of teaspoons of ice cream but she insisted that, because we both had a May birthday, I should inherit her birthday cup and saucer. I often look at it now, in fond remembrance of a very dear lady. i.ibb.co/qnLjMqZ/CUP.jpgBrenda

Back to comment on this, Rick. Love the color and lighting. I have Lightroom to thank for some of that. It has some of the most amazing and easy to use tools for general image development. Here is the side by side with RAW and finished image.

Was visiting an old abandoned cemetery today. Not sure of how it got that way but most of the stones have been moved and all records lost. Recently a student researching local history uncovered an old map of the cemetery that showed the burial locations and there is a plan to start to restore some of what had earlier been destroyed. Here's one old broken stone that I spotted today - overgrown with periwinkle and lily of the valley - remembering a young death from 150 years ago. Tony

Preeb - Your tweaks in LR made a very dramatic, emotional image which emphasizes this bygone era.

I am following Brenda's lead and going with a personal remembrance. This pocket watch was my grandfather's. He lived with us when I was young and was dearly loved. Helen, a touching remembrance. It looks like it has been taken care of all these years.

This old broken stone peeking through the greenery is a beacon of hope.
