Apologies in advance if this has been covered already but I cannot find it in my search...
When using the rectangular marquee tool, is there a way to resize the selection without affecting the underlying image I.e. just change the marching ants size by grabbing corner handles, for example? In other words, if my original selection isn't quite right, can I drag to resize it as you would with the crop tool?
I've tried pressing alt/ctrl/space etc but nothing works.
Many thanks Howard

I learned this a few months ago here at PSEM ... think this is what you want. Right click on the marquee selection and choose "Transform selection" In addition to the corner handles, you can also use the height and width grabbers in the middle of top, bottom, right and left sides.

Perfect! So simple when you know! I never really think of right click menus when using PSE, perhaps I'm missing a lot.
You're a pal, Clive, many thanks!

Is this the thread you are thinking of? Thanks. Yes, that's it. It's a great tip and I use it often.
